Drunkard > when maxed, for that character will start monsters droppign then alcohol, except special event alc. at rate of purple items

Sweettooth: When maxed with one character for that character will drop then sweets from monsters, like red bean cakes, fruit cakes, canes ect. at drop rate of purple items, except special event sweets

Party Animal: see above, same, but just for party stuff... mosnters start dropping rockets, sm summoners and normal tonics, except special event stuff

Cartographer: For cartographing per area, minimaps will start showing the places of every monsters on the map through say little white dots and pop ups get shown as black crosses

Reasoning: You know the place perfectly, you've discovered everythign, so you'll also know the places, where monsters will be. Will be a nice little addition for vanguishing I think. Who had it not sometimes? - nearly clearing everythign on a map and then is there 1 single monster left and you have to search for it the complete map again... this would give this problem an end, once you've cartographed an area

Vanguisher: You will receive Information about monsters in vanguished areas, when you mark them with your mouse and target them. On targeted monsters pressing then the S-Button for "Scan" will result in a little Window popping up telling you the following Information about the Monster, that you've target scanned:

- Health Points Actual/Maximum
- Energy Points Actual/Maximum
- Actual Energy Regeneration

- Damage Type the scanned Creature deals with physical Attacks.
- Aggro Range
- Has aggro at the moment on: (player name)

- Elemental Weaknesses
- Physical Weaknesses

- Elemental Strengths
- Physical Strengths

- List of Skills the scanned Creature has
- List of its Attribute Setting

Reasoning: Because you have vanguished everything, you have slayed down any creature. Cause of that Fact you will know the monsters way better, than before you became a Vanguisher and implementign this would finaly erase the need to go ever look into Wiki or so, when you want to know something about a monster, you can simple get with this your info then ingame.

Once Legendary Skill Hunter, you will unlock for that character a NPC in towns like Kamadan, Kaineng and Lion's Arc, which will sell to you normalTomes and Elite Tomes for your character's PRIMARY CLASS only at fixed prices of 500g for normal tomes and 2,5 Platin for Elite Tomes

hmm, that would be things I'd like to see for them, but it isn't a must.
I like the OP's idea for Drunkard, Sweet Tooth, and Party Animal, especially if only active when your wearing the title.
Your Cartographer title is worse then the OP's original one. Your Skill Hunter and Vanquisher are not that good either. Guardian I have nothing against, as long as those sets are expensive. Survivor, the game should be harder, not easier.

I still hold that enemies should be harder once you have Legendary Guardian/Vanquisher/Survivor.

Harder Game=Bigger Challenge
Bigger Challenge=Interesting Game
Interesting Game=Fun Game
Therefore,
Harder Game=Fun Game

Not that hard to understand.

You forget that, far from being useless, you just made it so that max title holders will regularly be getting 100-200g guaranteed drops. Grind a title up so you can get money faster than other people, that'll go over just great. >_>

and you forget, that all people, which max those titles have investigated for them

1. alot of time and also

2. ALOT of CASH ingame, those 3 titles aren't cheap and so more people are able to farm the stuff, so more supply will be there and the prices will go down ... btw. this will ensure, that prices will stay at a normal point.
Also they drop at purple rates -.- now get a 0815- stupid purple weapon sold by merchant, you will also get from it your 100-200 gold or even slightly more, when it has a money increasing Insignia on, then you can get over 200g for purples...
With luck every of those 3 titles requires each 1 Million of Gold, but mostly will cost your like 1,5 Million in average. These titles are nothign for casual players which play only like once a week an half hour or so ...
People which work on these complete OPTIONAL Titles should get somehow rewarded for them, therefore that they have cost so much money to max them, so why not giving the player a ressource more for making money or maybe for farming the stuff for other characters of their account(s) to reduce the huge cost factor for them, once you maxed the title with 1 character.

Making Alcohol, Sweets and party Stuff except special stuff from events through maxing the titles dropable for a chara'ter won't be the doom of the games economy... and even if, its already broken like hell and can't be more broken, unless anet gives players something easy obtainable that can be sold at NPC's for several platin >.>, but even so dumb can't anet be.
You can compared my suggestion quite good with the existign effect of the treasure hutner title... when you max that one, you will make later with your character also alot more money, than people, which didn't grinded that title to max, but again treasure hunters gridn requires alot of tiem and huge amounts of money, far far bigger, than Sweettooth, Drunkard and party Animal together...

And why will people with maxed treasure hutner make more money over time ?
Simple because they will have a much higher retention rate of their lockpicks and can open with 1 Lockpick more chests which iwll mean that they will make with X keys alot more chests open, than someone with lesser treasure hunter title.

More Chests opened = more possible Gold Items = more possible great items with high value = far more money, when you sell all the stuff.

You know the biggest problem isn't whether the title has effect on gameplay, its how we go about acheiving those effects. I think anything that adds to gameplay is a good thing, but I would fix how we gain title points.

About 3 months ago I posted my opinion on how they should fix the whole Survivor mess....

I hate the Survivor and Defender titles because they go against the spirit of the game. I like the titles just not the process in which to attain them.

Death-leveling is a cowardly act and shouldn't be encouraged. What the Defender title should be about is the amount of Charr killed in pre-searing with the least amount of deaths. Its the Charr kills the should give you the reputation of being Legendary Defender of Ascalon.

So lets say you go to the North of the Wall and you kill 15 Charr, your Defender title goes up, but at the same token you died 3 times and that will knock the the Defender title down quite abit. Another words the title becomes a sliding scale based on your kills vs the amount times you've died. Each time you die your Defender title goes down. Once you leave Pre-searing the title is locked.

Survivor title shouldn't be about avoiding combat. I would also make this a sliding scale where you gain credit towards Survivor title with your leveling up, but it also goes down if you don't kill a set amount of mobs per level your character is at. For example you are level 10 Warrior, half way to Survivor title, but at level 10 a Warrior should've killed at least 100 hundred Gargoyles. 100 Grawls 100 Stone Elementals etc etc...Not doing a few Fedex quest to raise your level without dying.

The two titles can be done at the same time but once you leave Pre-searing the Defender is locked, So that means a player would be required to not die in pre-searing if he wanted to achieve both titles.

I'd like to see some elite players try not dying while killing mass amount of Charr in pre-searing, it would require a lot more patience and skill than just going AFK and letting Charr death-level you.

This system would allow the potential to have both titles, but it would have to take some serious skill not to die in pre-searing.

Lastly I want to give these titles some rewards that effect the game. Such as Defender title would give you the same buff you get from the Norn title track, and only effect the outlying areas of Ascalon. I'm not sure what kind of buff or reward the survivor title should get, perhaps a unique inscription applied to your weapon. Not sure what it be but I really think these titles need to give us rewards that effect the game play instead of it being purely about showing your elite status.

Craywulf, I agree that titles are good, but how anet has got us going for them is bad. I like your idea for LDoA, but I cannot agree with survivor. Maybe change it to (Exp gained/deaths), then I can agree with it, but there are quests that give 10k exp, and that would ruin your survivor idea.

I do agree with you that the titles should effect gameplay, but it doesn't always have to be in a positive/beneficial way. Titles are wanted for KoaBD title track and the HoM, but progress in titles also means progress in the game. And of course, we all *should* know that progress in the game=game gets harder. Which is why I cannot understand why all title "buffs" have to in fact, be buffs, why not make things harder? I don't see why that cannot be done, or why thats bad.

I agree only that the buffs in town should be allowed. Otherwise, ppl will eat red beans like a mother just to run 25% while exploring...

I know that its a bit off topic, but I think that Final Rank for KoaBD title, the God who walks title, should have some sort of affect.
I was thinking of a purely asthetic affect in towns, like monks walking along in a ray of light, Necs in darkness etc.
This would be a type of reward for wasting so much time on the game and sort of goes along with the show off your title, bit of the game
